Initial Spa Workshop

An initial half-day Spa Workshop, preferably onsite, is a results oriented and very practical session that workshops the immediate issues and prioritise the actions required in relation to your Spa development. We can discuss an action plan that will provide you with the information you need to commit to the most appropriate concept and the overall feasibility of your Spa development.

Concept and Strategy

An effective concept, design and feasibility document creates clarity and ensures the Spa's financial viability whilst bringing to life the vision and essence of the Spa and ensuring a seamless flow from the beginning to the end of the project.

  • Spa Concept - Develop a unique Spa concept and understand the target market and competition
  • Plans and Operations - Review the location and plans and potential operations with recommendations
  • Facilities - Create an extensive Facilities and Services Design Brief, a valuable checklist for all consultants
  • Indicative Preliminary Financial Forecasts - Determine the Spas financial viability and profitability and the investment required

Planning and Construction

We work closely with the client in the following areas to guide the planning and construction process with Spa specific advice, recommendations and solutions.

  • Planning - Advise on an effective and operationally sound layout, including Furniture, Fittings & Equipment and Spa specific equipment.
  • Review of detailed drawings - Review of pre-construction drawings and assisting the Architect in detailed design of specialist Spa areas
  • Review of the construction process - Liaising with the project team and al contractors to resolve any arising construction issues and advising on the construction budget control

Spa Pre-Opening and Operations

We are passionate about planning and preparing for a smooth and successful Spa Opening by providing Spa specific advice, recommendations and operational expertise in all areas.

  • Planning - Provide an essential Pre Opening action plan with timelines and checklists
  • Marketing - Create an effective Spa Menu with customised treatments that are designed to compliment the Spas vision and unique environment.
  • Human Resources - Advise on recruitment of a Spa Manager and all team members. Provide support on all training schedules and inductions into the Spa Business Systems manuals and systems
  • Financials - Support the customised preparation of a financial forecast for the first 12 months of operation
  • General Spa Pre Opening - Provide general support for the pre-opening operational requirements.

Opening

Being on-site during the pre and post opening period is vital to provide hands on specialist support for a successful Spa launch.

  • Communication - Effective liaison with the Builder, Project Manager and client on the Spa Opening requirements, timelines and any construction issues.
  • Mentoring - Advise and support the Spa Manager throughout the Opening
  • Training - Ensure exceptional standards are developed through effective on-site therapy, service and systems training
  • Operations - Support the physical Spa set up and implementation of all Spa Business Systems and customisation of systems
  • Opening - Support the successful soft opening (including follow up with any troubleshooting and feedback) and the official launch with any events and Spa media visits

Spa Management Mentoring

To ensure ongoing success, we can support, advise and mentor for the first year of operation. This includes regular visits and phone support for general planning and troubleshooting, as well as human resources, operational and marketing support.
